Everglades Law Center, Inc.

Defending Florida's Ecosystems and Communities

You Can Help Save the Everglades- And More!

Your support provides lawyers for Florida's environment.

As a not-for-profit law firm, the ELC represents clients either “pro bono” (at no charge) or for very reduced fees, according to guidelines in the Internal Revenue Code. The community and environmental organizations and the individuals we typically represent in court or before governmental bodies usually cannot afford to hire private attorneys, which is why the “public interest” tends to be outweighed by certain private interests in these forums. The ELC exists to level the playing field, but we largely depend on grants and contributions from organizations and individuals to support our work as lawyers and advocates.

We are a small organization, but we take on the biggest, toughest issues, and our accomplishments rival those of much larger law offices. Our administrative and overhead costs are very low - we are a "no frills" law firm - so even small contributions go a long way to directly funding legal help for Florida's environment.

The need for meaningful public interest legal representation for the environment has never been greater. We need your support to make public interest legal representation for Florida's environment a consistent reality.

Contributions to the ELC are tax deductible, and can be sent to:
